On 14 July 2007 at the School hall of SM Methodist (ACS) Air Tawar, Ipoh we conducted the first Project Plus 8 activity, 'Know Your Potential'. It received an overwhelming response from the selected students. It was just fascinating and interesting to the underachievers. All These 51 students participated well in all the activities carried out in the 1st session. In fact, I was amazed.

This wonderful program is a new dimension in their life. The 4 hours was thrilling, exciting and joyful to them. I felt very happy to see them interacting gracefully. Hence, the question of indiscipline among the students did not arise. Furthermore, they have wonderful perceptions about life but unfortunately no one to guide them, right from their home.

At the moment, they are eagerly waiting for the next session to learn more about new things in life. Every morning they keep on asking me about the next session. The light of hope has given them courage and determination to achieve their goals. They now feel that somebody cares for them. Looks like this plus 8 programme will change their mindset and bring a paradigm shift towards achieving the aspirations of our leaders. Thank you YSS for giving me an opportunity to enlighten my young community through this wonderful program. “A journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step”. Cheerio!
