YSS - A social development centre for the Malaysian Indian Community

YayasanStrategikSosial (YSS) with collaboration of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) is organizing ‘AmanahSaham 1 Malaysia’ investment talk at neighbourhoods around Malaysia. The pilot program has been implemented in Klang Valley areas such as Batu Caves, Kota Damansara, Kapar and BatangBerjuntai. Total of 461 people participated in this talk and 22 investors registered on the same day itself.

Amanah Saham 1 Malaysia (AS 1Malaysia) is a fund which provides regular and consistent return stream whilst preserving the unit holder’s investment capital over a long term horizon through a diversified portfolio of investment. AS 1Malaysia is a fixed price fund with a fund size of 10 billion units and 1.5 billion has been allocated to the Indian community. Currently, 390 million units are still available for Indian community.All the units for Chinese community have been fully subscribedin a very short time period. Minimum initial investment is RM100 and there is no individual limit(until all units are fully subscribed).They can subscribe more units to their account upon registration. Investors can sellbacksome or all oftheirunitsat anytime.Employees Provident Fund(EPF) account holder are allowed to withdraw their savingsin Account1 for this purpose.EPF Members Investment Scheme is a convenient scheme to unit holders who have savings in EPF whereby they caninvestpart ofthe amountinAS 1Malaysia.

AS 1Malaysia transactions can be done in all ASNB branches, CIMB bank, Maybank , RHB bank and also Pos Malaysia. AS 1Malaysia has achieved a net income distribution of 6.5 cent per unit for this financial year.
