Yayasan Social Strategic (YSS) in collaboration with MIC Division organized a free medical camp for the Indian Community in KampungLaksamana, Kapar, Kota Damansara and Kuala Selangor.

The medical camp was successfully held on 19 and 20th of November, with the help and corporation from Pantai Medical Centre.

The 5 hours medical drive started at 8.00am and it is believed to help the needy Indians to keep them medically fit and free from any infection diseases.

 

 

Medical Campaign

The checkupconsist of full blood examination, gout, diabetic screen, renalfunction test, lipid studies, liver function test, urine examination as well as immunology and serology.

 

Blood test can provide a host of useful information about health. The results from a blood test can reveal any abnormality present in our body even before symptoms begin and may help find diseases or conditions early, when they are easier to treat. Diabetesscreening (by measuring your blood glucose level) and kidney function tests. The level of waste products such as urea and creatinine in the bloodstream reflects the capacity of the kidneys filtration process. Urine test also can provide an indication of the condition of the kidneys and urinary tract.

Medical Campaign

Gout is diagnosed through high uric acid levels and swollen painful joints. There are also heart function tests, where damaged heart cells will secrete enzymes into the blood. Other tests are coronary risk (through cholesterol tests which provides information on our Total Cholesterol,LDL-Cholesterol,HDL-Cholesterol and Triglyceride levels),Full Blood Count is an assessment of red blood cells in our body provides information about how much hemoglobin is in the blood, which can indicate anaemia or suspected thalassemia.
